"She Took Flight" Butterflies are all about change and new life, and that was the inspiration for this lovely hat designed and created by Shawntee. When she returned home, her mother moved her back to the Bay Area where she stopped using drugs and gave birth to her oldest son. While Shawntee attended Nursing School, she was living with her grandmother, who passed away. Her grandmother's death was a huge loss that led to drinking, abusive relationships, and Shawntee struggling with an addiction to pain pills. It was her rock bottom. She entered Saint John’s in November of 2016 with her four boys, and says it has given her strength and determination through positive classes, unlimited support, and repetition. She is truly grateful.
